ABOUT JOHANNES SCHMIDT
Johannes Schmidt is CEO of the Project and Structured Finance Energy Management, Mobility and Industries business of Siemens Financial Services (SFS), an international provider of business-to-business financial solutions with more than employees worldwide. Backed by more than 25 years of experience at Siemens, Johannes has cultivated specialized expertise in a variety of areas within the company, including project and structured finance, trade finance, project ventures and equity. His experience with developing and implementing financing solutions spans some of today’s most important industries, such as power generation and large-scale infrastructure projects for cities and industrial complexes. Drawing on his experiences working in various locations around the world, his decision-making is influenced by a deep understanding of complex global developments. Because banks are no longer financing as many projects, as their risk-assessment practices are now much tighter, Johannes feels there is a growing need for additional or alternative investors like SFS.
