ABOUT JOHANNES TONOLLO

I am an Interaction Designer with a passion to create and shape meaningful and delightful experiences. With a strong mix of Interaction Design, Visual Design and Motion Design skills I can solve problems holistically by looking through different design lenses. I believe that Motion needs to (and will!) play a bigger role within the User Interface. Motion naturally comes with the big power of being self-explanatory and simply its joy of use. Therefore I am constantly looking for ways to integrate motion in the design process with interactive prototypes and motion studies to push the boundaries of static representations.I love creating ideas and storytelling the hell out of them, realising these ideas and finally help to bringing a product to the market that impacts people in a meaningful way. I enjoy working for clients across the world and with multidisciplinary teams who are devoted to search together for the most elegant and intuitive design solution and create the best possible experience. It is about finding the right balance between the needs of users and the abilities of technology.On the one hand I am dedicated to bring the UI to life and to design for the moment of delight, which creates an emotional connection with the product – I think in interaction behaviors and not in rigid inputs and outputs. On the other hand I love systematic thinking, clarifying complex processes and tinkering with big data sets to understand and reveal the core of a problem.
