FlexPay - As a Software Engineer on the FlexPay team I helped get an entire new division off the ground for Capital One. In less than a year we went from no product to being available for current capital one customer and brand new customer the ability to sing up for buy now pay later with us- Worked in Java, React, Go - Developed and supports 4 APIs for a new line of business workings with a 3rd party vendor and internal teams- Worked with internal enterprise teams to connect to real time streams to update user data. Including but not limited to personal sensitive data that needed to follow company and industry encryption standards. Premium Products - As a Software Engineer on the Modernization team, I lead design and research into the best way to update the monolithic application call by all premium lines of business. While also being an individual contributor for the small team created for this effort- Leading design and working with teams across the enterprise reduced upstream API calls by 75% and response time by 60%- Lead support and onboarding for multiple external partners to the new microservice APIs.
