Johanna is a practicing attorney in the telecommunications, internet, and technology sectors. Currently, Johanna is the Senior Democratic Counsel to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce\'s Subcommittee on Communications and Technology. In this role, Johanna advises Democratic members and senior committee staff on issues related to electromagnetic spectrum, satellites, telecommunications and national security, cybersecurity, Section 230, and artificial intelligence, among other things. Prior to arriving at the Committee, Johanna was a Partner at Jenner & Block in the firm’s Communications, Internet, and Technology practice group. And before joining Jenner, she was the Deputy Chief of Staff for the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). At the FCC, she also served as a Legal Advisor to then Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel with primary responsibility for wireless, international, and public safety issues; a Legal Advisor to the Chief of the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau; and as an Attorney Advisor in the Media Bureau\'s Industry Analysis Division. Prior to joining the FCC, Johanna was an associate in Arnold & Porter’s Telecommunications, Internet, and Media practice group.
