Johanna Maska is the CEO of Global Situation Room, a public affairs firm with offices in Washington, DC and Los Angeles, CA. Maska was White House Director of Press Advance for President Barack Obama, managing the President\'s image on trips at home and abroad. Maska led planning for the President\'s engagements from the beginning of the Iowa caucuses in 2007 until 2015. Maska traveled with President Obama to more than 40 states and 40 countries, including extended tours of Asia, South America, Europe and Africa. Maska was integral in planning APEC Hawaii, NATO Chicago, G8 Camp David along with dozens of other international Summits. Maska currently advises and consults for companies, organizations and individuals, with expertise in crisis communications, grassroots engagements, global good, brand credibility and reputation management. Maska launched Pod is a Woman, a Cadence13 award-winning podcast, with fellow White House veterans on politics and popular culture. The podcast won TIME Magazine\'s Best Political Podcasts of 2020, and was recognized as best of by Cosmopolitan, Pop Sugar and The Evening Standard. Maska serves as a frequent media contributor.
