Key achievements• Transformed systems and processes for guideline development and presentation building in user needs, in setting up a programme to develop national antimicrobial prescribing guidelines to combat antimicrobial resistance, through working closely with multidisciplinary advisory committees and stakeholders. Reducing the time to develop a guideline by 50% to enable multiple guidelines to be delivered in a shorter period of time that was not previously possible, therefore helping to better achieve the organisations objectives.• Built networks within NICE and with external stakeholders, promoting the work of the medicines and technologies programme.• Presenting on medicines-related topics at many national events and conferences.• Lead the development of high-profile national guidelines for health and social care, including medicines optimisation, safe use and management of controlled drugs, managing medicines in care homes, managing medicines for adults receiving social care in the community, antimicrobial stewardship, patient group directions and developing and updating local formularies.• Completed Health and Care Leaders Scheme for Aspiring Directors in 2019.
