ABOUT JOHANNA NGUYEN
I am pursuing a B.S. in Applied Mathematics–Computer Science at Brown University, with a passion for systems programming and embedded systems. I bring a programming- and logic-driven perspective to physically constrained engineering challenges, focusing on optimization, automation, and impact-driven solutions.From verifying engine system software at Pratt & Whitney to leading Driver Controls for Brown Formula Racing, I’ve developed a deep fascination with real-time telemetry and engine controls. This passion transitioned into research with CarrettaLab, where I led end-to-end embedded system design. Currently- Exploring Quantum Computing: Engaging in challenges like MIT’s iQuHack to push the boundaries of high-performance computation- President of Women Build @ Brown: Leading initiatives to expand representation in engineering through hands-on technical workshops and community building- Incoming SWE Intern at Preveil: Returning to my hometown of Boston this summer to work on secure system design.
