ABOUT JOHANN ROBETTE

From a young age, I was immersed in the world of supply chains, thanks to my father’s passion for the industry. This early exposure sparked my own interest, leading me to work in warehouses during summers as a teenager and pursue internships in the field.One pivotal internship was with France’s largest pharmaceutical wholesaler, where I developed some of the first demand planning and inventory optimization tools. These tools were implemented in over eight warehouses, all of which became top performers within the company.My career has spanned various industries, including aerospace, automotive, and e-commerce, where I contributed to research departments. I then joined Vekia, a French start-up specializing in Machine Learning for Supply Chain. At Vekia, I honed my technical and functional skills, developing a cutting-edge probabilistic and cost-oriented replenishment solution that automates daily decisions. I also played a key role in demonstrating the value of our solution to companies across Europe.Beyond my technical contributions, I have developed my thought leadership in the supply chain industry. I regularly present at conferences, sharing my insights and experiences, and write articles and research papers on topics such as the link between forecasting and business value. My journey in supply chain continues to be driven by a passion for innovation and efficiency.
