My name is Johann Correos and I’m a Sr. Associate II, Clinical Trial Operations at Alcon Clinical R&D with 11 years of experience managing, planning, and negotiating clinical trial budgets for Alcon’s Vision Care, Surgical, and Pharma franchises in the fields of ophthalmology & optometry. I provide training related to my role for new associates and provide global support related to clinical trial budgeting, contracting, and negotiation, as needed. In addition to my current job at Alcon, I serve as an active member and leader in several employee organizations and programs at Alcon including Alcon R&D TEDx, our LGBTQ+ employee resource group (OPEN), Celebrating Innovation, Military Affinity Group (MAG), and EPIC to name a few. In 2022, I was the recipient of the annual Alcon Radiance award in recognition of exemplary cultural innovation within Alcon R&D. I have 16+ years in past work experience in the field of medical research both clinical and non-clinical in the specialties of gastroenterology, gynecology, hepatology, hematology, nephrology, oncology, pathology, and urology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and Methodist Dallas Medical Center (The Liver Institute). I graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology / Pre-medicine and a minor in French. I am very fortunate to be able to use my educational background and my collective experiences in the field of science and medicine towards the benefit of patient healthcare and improving their quality of life.
