ABOUT JO ALVARADO
I am passionate about the process of self-discovery and liberation through the means of art and storytelling. As a literary scholar, my research investigates the affectual and aesthetic practices of contemporary queer Asian American cultural productions, weaving together queer of color critique, performance studies, and decolonial thought. As a poet, I write from a place of healing and reclamation, and I hope to provide a space for others to do the same.
