ABOUT JOHAN DIEZ
I\'m an analytical and creative student with two years of travel experience in the MENA-region and South Asia. I am fluent in Spanish, English and Swedish and am currently learning Arabic (MSA). In my career I am highly interested in issues regarding human rights, sustainable development and gender equality. In my latest project I conducted a field study in Uganda to explore the extent to which the UN agenda for Women, Peace and Security provides security to female refugees in the Yumbe district through Local Action Plans. Data was collected via interviews and focus group discussions with over 70 participants in and around Yumbe district and the Bidibidi settlement. The results showed significant deviances between the action plan’s expected outcomes and refugees’ experienced security.
