About Joel Feldman
Following the death of my daughter Casey by a distracted driver in 2009 I now devote the bulk of my professional time to traffic safety talks at businesses,schools, community events and professional conferences for students, but still practice law, handling a number of distracted driving cases. 2018 was a very good year with about 165 presentations and expanding talks at businesses, including financial service companies, pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, utility companies, trucking companies and a number of companies whose employees commute to work or drive for the companies. So that means pretty much any type of business. Many companies also wanted to make a difference in their communities and scheduled school talks as well. I have been very impressed with company leaders who take steps to help their family of employees to be safe and also their employees\' families. Some of the companies invited me to speak, but also worked with us to launch campaigns to involve as many employees as possible. The companies ranged from companies with under 100 employees to several Fortune 500 companies. I drove distracted before Casey was killed and changed the way I drive as a result. It should not take a tragedy for all of us to change the way we drive. So as we begin 2019 I am optimistic that we can make a difference and save more lives, particularly teen lives.
