In this role, I play a dynamic part in ensuring the success of CDBA and advocating for our member banks to policymakers- Manage our recurring appropriations advocacy campaigns & produce data-driven statistics for targeting high-priority states and measuring member engagement. For our FY 2025 campaign, more than 85 (or well over 60%) banks within CDBA’s membership sent letters to their members of Congress to advocate for CDFI Fund appropriations- Research current policy and legislation that affects our members, with an emphasis on congressional appropriations and finance & regulatory policy- Coordinate CDBA’s annual Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill. In 2024, I scheduled and planned for approximately 55 CDFI Bankers and industry allies to attend over 40 meetings with members of Congress.
