ABOUT JOEY ROSENBERG
As a seasoned people manager and executive leader, Joey’s experience includes startups to Fortune 50s and strategic leadership roles across most of the functional areas of business, including executive leadership, product development, marketing, communications, finance, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and board service. She has spent the last eight years building Women Who Code, the world’s most active community dedicated to inspiring diverse women to excel in tech. Joey is an accomplished tech speaker, has addressed the United Nations on intersectional diversity and equity-centered decision making in data strategy, and recently co-founded b.bold, where she helps empower even more women in STEMM to step boldly into leadership. Joey has studied on four continents, holds a dual-degree MBA, and a BA in International Affairs.In her time at Women Who Code, Joey has grown the organization to reach across 144 countries and gain sponsorship from many of the top companies in tech. She is often the face and voice of the movement and is core to vision-casting, setting and operationalizing strategy, improving organizational effectiveness, leading the WWCode team, and measuring and articulating the organization’s impact. She is the visionary behind WWCode innovations like the new Member Experience, deep learning technical tracks, and WWCode’s practice-based leadership model for engineers, and led WWCode’s pivot to a fully remote community in response to COVID-19. Joey has also served as an elected trustee and board member for the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, holding governance oversight for a movement serving 10 million worldwide and chairing the Western Hemisphere Region comprised of 32 countries.Joey earned a Global Business MBA from Georgia State University, a Global Business MBA from the Sorbonne IAE Paris, and a Certificate in Global Business Management from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She completed her undergraduate education at Kennesaw State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs, with a concentration in International Business, Economics, and Policy.Joey currently resides in Atlanta with her wife and their daughter.
