About Joey Pham
Dr. Pham currently serves as the Program Supervisor for the DUI/Court Programs within the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) division of the County of Orange, Health Care Agency. As a program administrator, he is responsible for the regulatory compliance and oversees the licensing and monitoring process of contracted providers who offer Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and Delayed Entry of Judgement programs in the County. As a clinician, he has worked with incredibly diverse populations that include children, adolescents, family members, adults, and older adults from different ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. Within these populations, he dealt with a wide range of concerns including adjusting to foster care, severe depression and anxiety, child abuse, suicidal ideation, trauma, substance use, and LGBT issues. In private practice setting, he belongs in a group that specializes in addiction and trauma. He has great experience treating chronic mental illnesses such as: Depression, Anxiety, Psychotic Disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress and Compulsive Disorders. He also possesses skills in treating interpersonal problems stemming from marriage, family, and other relationship. He is trained in evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and EMDR. All in all, Dr. Pham is a well-versed leader and counselor.
