Appointed Acting Chief of Police September 16th, 2015 and maintain the position of Special Services Bureau Commander as well. Oversee the Investigative units, Planning and Research, Crime Lab, Internal Affairs Division, and the Information Technology Department. Manage and develop departmental policy, Continuity of Operations planning and City events planning. Work directly with Civic Organizations, business leaders and city staff on community issues. Work directly with Economic Development staff on revitalization issues involving City Center and surrounding neighborhoods. Integrate the law enforcement component into non-law enforcement areas of city government, adding a different aspect to problem solving and brainstorming into a group setting.
