Owner/developer/manager of residential multifamily real estate, specializing in difficult properties and properties with unique characteristics with a growing focus on identifying and providing housing to satisfy the specific needs of various at-risk populations and in support of reentry programming.Of Counsel to a law firm in the Illinois Basin with a specialty in resource & energy law, preparation of title opinions, management of issues relating to leasing, and advise on regulatory and all other manner of issues relating to oil & gas exploration & development.During law school, worked in the Office of the Secretary of the US Department of the Interior on offshore oil policy and renewable energy projects and researched and wrote a MS Geo thesis on hydraulic fracturing.Almost 3 years in London at a corporate finance house specializing in the junior mining and exploration sector. Our small firm provided all manner of assistance to the junior miner at every stage of initial corporate development, from seed, pre-IPO, listing, secondary financing, providing both financing and advice. I visited and assessed gold and other mines in Canada, Slovakia and Turkey.Joey is also an avid rock climber with international climbing experience in the US, UK, Europe, Brazil, Israel, Jordan, Mexico and Thailand. He has summited Mt. Rainier (14,410 ft.) and Mt. Whitney (14,505 ft.) in the US, Island Peak (20,305 ft.) and Mera Peak (21,247 ft.) in the Everest Region of Nepal, Cotopaxi (19,347 ft.) in Ecuador, the Matterhorn (14,692 ft.), the Monch (13,474 ft), and the Jungfrau (13,642 ft) in Switzerland, Mont Blanc (15,781 ft.) in France, and various peaks in Colorado.

   Ananeo is a transitional housing provider that also provides community-based, client centered services on safe-space campuses to adults with mental health and substance use conditions and who in majority of cases, have been involved in the criminal justice system. Ananeo’s community-based approach to treatment provides individualized support to reduce risk for worsening substance use related problems, ensure continuity of care across the service system, and prevent adverse outcomes such as homelessness, further criminal justice involvement, and physical or behavioral health crises.
