As a clinical social worker, certified sex therapist, and certified supervisor of sex therapy I provide individual, couples and family therapy to a diverse population of clients. Areas of practice specialization include LGBTQIA + issues, early and ongoing recovery from chemical dependency, as well as people struggling with traumatic life events and difficulties in both relational and sexual functioning. I also provide training in the areas of family systems, couples and relational therapy, and the role of intersectionality and intersubjective alliances in clinical practice, chemical dependency, and working respectfully with people involved with, and exploring, Kink/BDSM identified individuals. I also provide supervision and consultation to clinicians and health care providers throughout New England interested in the connection between family or origin, relational functioning, and sexual health and dysfunction. I am also a certified Discernment Counselor, providing short term interventions to couples on the brink and who are seeking to gain clarity, confidence, and understanding regarding the struggles that lead to the current crisis in their marriage, and the role that each partner has played in this dynamic. Other responsibilities include maintaining collaborative relationships with collateral providers to ensure continuity of client care, developing course material and educational content for South Shore Sexual Health Center’s AASECT Certified Sex Therapy training program, and co-leading monthly supervision group.
