For the first 27 years of my career, I had advised my clients in the traditional manner, with one of our primary objectives being to offer solutions allowing the safe accumulation of wealth in government \"sponsored” savings plans (IRAs/401ks/SIMPLEs/SEPs). However, in 2015 I learned how true wealth works. For almost a decade it has been my firm’s mission to help people understand that traditional wealth planning methods benefit the government and Wall Street more than themselves. We then offer guidance on how to follow simple steps which correct and recapture wealth that they’re unknowingly giving away. It is truly liberating!I was born and raised in Nacogdoches, TX, and entered the financial services industry in 1988 after earning a double Bachelors degree in Accounting and Finance from Texas A&M. I am the past board chair and currently an Elder at First Christian Church. My wife Jill and I are parents of three active sons, which is where I was introduced to my favorite pastime… youth coaching. I have coached over 30 different basketball, baseball, and football youth league teams over the past 15 years. Hundreds of young men across my community know me as \"Coach.\" It is with this same passion to lead others that I built Still Financial.I believe in volunteerism; so much so that I was president of the Pineywoods Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, the Nacogdoches Jaycees, the Nacogdoches Youth Baseball Association, and the Dragon Athletic Booster Club. I have also served as an advisory board member of BancorpSouth, and the East Texas Blood Center, and I am currently the alumni chair of the Chapter Advisory Board of the Texas Nu Chapter of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity.
