Experience
Lead Asset Integrity Engineer
Jan 2019 — Present · Houston, TX, US
I founded and currently lead SOFEC\'s Asset Integrity group, guiding a team of engineers in developing integrity strategies, inspection plans, and monitoring systems for the mooring systems which SOFEC provides. We work closely with our operating clients to implement and execute these strategies during operations. My team performs thorough technical evaluations of inspection and monitoring data, assessing the condition of individual anchor legs, their components, and the overall mooring system.Within the MODEC group, I serve as the focal point for mooring operational support, overseeing subsea inspections, data monitoring and evaluation, incident and emergency response planning, life extensions, and Class inquiries. Some of our significant achievements include developing and standardizing a Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) program for mooring systems, which we successfully implemented on multiple new and existing assets, developing and deploying new mooring monitoring systems, establishing a remote monitoring infrastructure and developing a mooring Digital Twin solution, which provides our operations teams with real-time insights into the operational performance of the mooring systems.
