Working as a Partner in the EY Transaction Tax team, I assist German and multinational clients with corporate M&A transactions. My area of expertise includes domestic and international tax structuring advice with regard to mergers and acquisitions as well as intra-group reorganizations. I help clients with the execution of tax-efficient share and asset deals, corporate financing and leverage planning. Moreover, I leverage my experience in the inbound business gathered during my time at the German Tax Desk in New York by assisting foreign clients with transaction-related German tax matters, in particular withholding taxes, intellectual property structuring, permanent establishment questions and real estate transfer taxes.
