Joerg Heidrich is a globally recognized leader in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, with more than 25 years of executive experience managing complex global operations within the Bayer Group. Before retiring in 2018, he served as Head of Global Product Supply Biotech, where he was responsible for the manufacturing and distribution of Bayer’s $3 billion biotechnology portfolio. His leadership played a key role in advancing operational excellence, scaling production globally, and supporting access to life-saving therapies.Over the course of his career, Mr. Heidrich served on several high-level strategic bodies, including the Worldwide Bayer Pharmaceuticals Product Supply Executive Team, the Bayer US Country Council Board, the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Bay Area Council, and the UC Berkeley Biotech Automation Council. These efforts ensured a strong foundation for long-term growth, operational scalability, and uninterrupted global product supply.A lifelong advocate for continuous learning, Mr. Heidrich has consistently focused on building high-performance teams and mentoring future leaders. Since retirement, he remains in contact with the life sciences community. He also enjoys basketball, golf, and cycling—and is a proud and involved grandfather to three grandchildren.
