About Joerg Hafer
Higher education is in transition, its role and function in modern societies is undergoing rapid change. Changing demands on labor, the rise of the knowledge and networking society, and global challenges require, on the one hand, a radical change in the organizational forms and objectives of higher education. On the other hand, academics and university staff are aware of these challenges and are looking for ways to develop higher education institutions. However, it is unclear how far the universities are able to meet these challenges. Interestingly, universities around the world are dealing with these or similar issues. In order to find solutions to these problems, it is time to exchange visions, ideas and solutions around the world. With the help of social and professional networks it is possible to organize this exchange. I live in New Delhi and Berlin
