I am a cybersecurity executive with over 20 years of experience building and transforming security programs for global retail and Fortune 50 organizations. Today, I lead large-scale security operations with a focus on modernizing the SOC: improving detection precision, accelerating response, and enabling higher-confidence decision-making at scale. My work centers on evolving security from reactive operations to proactive, intelligence-driven, and increasingly autonomous defense. At The Home Depot, I lead a 100+ person Security Operations organization and have driven a multi-year transformation that significantly reduced false positives, improved operational efficiency, and enabled safer automation. I have also built and scaled new capabilities including Threat Hunting, Deception Engineering, and Intelligent Security Automation (AI + SOAR) to better detect, disrupt, and understand adversaries. Previously, as CISO at The Orvis Company, I established and operationalized an enterprise security program, aligning to industry frameworks and leading incident response, cloud transformation, and compliance initiatives. Earlier in my career, I built and scaled security functions in global retail and defense environments, including L.L.Bean and General Dynamics. I am particularly interested in the intersection of: AI-driven security operations Detection engineering and precision Automation and orchestration at scale Adversary-focused defense (including deception techniques) I believe the future of cybersecurity lies in combining human expertise with intelligent systems to make faster, more consistent, and higher-quality decisions.
