About Joseph F. McMackin
Joseph F. McMackin, Jr CLPF #1066, joined Lorenz Private Trustees in January of 2018. He serves high-net worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients and their trusts. Before Joseph became a fiduciary, he was in the software world where he worked in Business Development and Account Management.Joseph became interested in becoming a fiduciary when his father became the trustee of his great aunt’s trust. His aunt’s trust had not been updated for 20+ years, and Joe saw the family stress, and the length of time it takes to complete the work, when the proper planning is not in place. Joe believes grieving family members should not have to do this work if they don’t want to. Joseph says, “There are people who need the support of a professional fiduciary to navigate the complexities ensuring the best possible outcome for all involved.” Born in San Francisco, Joseph lived in Northern California until when he pursued a degree in business from UC Santa Barbara. Joe met his wife, Marissa, at University. Shortly after graduation, they moved to San Diego to start their lives together.
