About Joe Martin

Joe Martin is the Director of Content and Communications at the University Design Institute at Arizona State University. At UDI, Joe is responsible for driving a global thought leadership strategy that positions the Institute as a trusted voice in higher education transformation. He leads the development of high-impact content and storytelling across digital and print platforms, shaping how UDI engages university leaders, ministries, and funders around the world. At UDI, Joe oversees a multi-channel communications program that includes web, video, publications, newsletters, and the design of custom workshops and convenings. He directs a global network of contributors and collaborates closely with internal experts, university leaders, funders, and strategic partners to produce thought-provoking content — from transformation roadmaps and design accelerators to the emerging Co-Lab@UDI platform. He also manages the Institute’s content calendar, editorial review processes, and student research team to ensure content is timely, strategic, and aligned with institutional priorities.
