ABOUT JOELLE CHUANG
A driven and inquisitive UC Berkeley graduate interested in applying research experience from both academia and industry to aid in molecular therapeutics and drug discovery. I have research experience in the field of protein degradation—I wrote and presented a senior honors thesis on characterizing a novel regulator of the E3 ligase FEM1B in the reductive stress response, and currently work as a Senior Research Associate at Lyterian Therapeutics, where I apply my cell biology experience to develop next generation medicines by harnessing protein homeostatic machinery. I am exploring future paths including pursuing a Ph.D, and am especially interested in making science more accessible to younger generations through mentorship and outreach.
