About Joel Kaatz
Mr. Kaatz has more than ten years of experience focused in stormwater resilience planning, modeling, and feasibility studies. He leads teams leveraging hydrologic and hydraulic models to advise municipalities on how to combat more extreme precipitation, both inland and as part of coastal flood protection systems. In project delivery, he serves as a technical advisor, lead modeler, and project manager, providing clear and concise communication of technical material for a broad range of audiences and stakeholders. Experience includes model construction, calibration, master planning analyses, flood risk mapping, design support, grant funding support, leading workshops, technical presentations, and report development. Mr. Kaatz recently relocated from NYC, NY to Alexandria, VA and is excited to leverage his experience and lessons learned in his new community.
