About Joel Berman

After a legal career advocating for clients and businesses for more than 46 years, I am excited to announce my transition to business advisor beginning in January 2026. My journey as an attorney has equipped me with a deep understanding of compliance, negotiation, and strategic risk management. I bring a results-oriented mindset, analytical expertise, and a collaborative approach to solving organizational challenges. My ability to think creatively, along with access to a vast network of contacts and connections in the community, allows me to bring significant added value to an organization. I currently serve on the board of advisors of two for-profit companies and work as a business advisor for a wealth management company, a registered investment advisor. Giving back to the community remains central to my goals. I am actively involved with two charitable organizations:JVS SoCal (https://jvs-socal.org), a regional leader in the field of workforce development, offering a broad range of innovative programs to tens of thousands of individuals each year and advocating on issues of public policy that impact the people we serve; I will be Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors in 2026 and Chair of the Board in 20••••28; and Member of the Executive Board of The C5LA Youth Foundation of Los Angeles (https://c5la.org), a year round youth leadership and college/career access and success program that identifies high potential, under-resourced students in middle school and engages them in a multi-year initiative designed to support them through high school, into and through college, and as they embark on their first career.Networking is equally important to me—I am dedicated to maintaining my professional relationships.Let’s connect to collaborate, make a difference, and drive meaningful change for businesses and communities.
