About Joel Estrada

Ever since I was young, I’ve loved airplanes. I would watch the Blue Angels with my family perform their routine over Lake Washington every year for as long as I can remember. I knew someday I was going to be involved professionally in Aerospace. The path I took in college led me to a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington, allowing my professional career to take off as a Boeing Engineer.COVID-19 shook the world in 2020 and for a long period of time grounded my career. So I decided to pursue a Certificate in Full Stack Web Development to learn new skills and possibly make a career change. In this six month coding boot camp, I was able to immerse myself into a world I found so fascinating back when I took two Java courses in college. I enjoyed developing the applications that were part of the boot camp and loved learning new skills!I’m currently helping build the road to space for the benefit of Earth at Blue Origin
