About Joe Leahy
I was at a recent pivotal point in my software career. I was asked to stop doing what I love on the side- teaching music and running a small business- both of which had been previously sanctioned by the company, that gave me additional energy and purpose. This would keep the software day job “safe” that paid the bills and after 11 years- bored me to tears. I realized what made me passionate and helped me to grow. I chose the latter. With over 11 years of direct software business experience as well as several years in the nonprofit world in project management, we have hung out our shingle. My wife and I call it Harmony PDX. That small side gig which was teaching music at our local school 10 hours a week? I translated that into a larger music teaching gig at another school that pays the bills while we launch our business the right way- through authentic relationships and solid growth and do the things we love as our work.
