ABOUT JOEL G. ANDERSON
Joel G. Anderson, PhD, CHTP, FGSA,(he/they) is the Joan L. Creasia Endowed Professor in the College of Nursing at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and honorary Associate Professor at the Centre for Age-Related Medicine (SESAM) at Helse Stavanger in Norway. Joel’s research focuses on family quality of life in dementia and caregiving, including the use of digital health resources as part of the caregiving experience and the unique needs of LGBTQIA+ caregivers and older adults. Joel has received funding from the National Institute on Aging, the RRF Foundation for Aging, the Pat Summitt Foundation, and the British Academy. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and serves as a member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Family Nursing and Research in Gerontological Nursing. Joel is a fellow of the Gerontological Society of America.
