ABOUT JOEL OLIVIO

Experienced Chief Information and Chief Information Security Officer with 24 years of overall Information Technology experience. For the past 10 years I\'ve held a leadership role in one of the top 5 DSO (Dental Service Organizations) in the country. My Team of diverse Information Technology Professionals, Family, and mentors are a huge part of my successful career. I couldn\'t be where I am without each and every one of them. I\'m skilled in all aspects of Technology, with extensive technical knowledge in Cloud computing, Information Security/Risk Management, Network Engineering/Security, Data Storage/Encryption, and Project Management.Recently I was interviewed by a current employee who was working on a school assignment. The first question he asked was,\"What does Leadership mean to you?\" After pondering about the question for few seconds, I responded with. Leadership is a powerful word, leadership is a trait that is earned, not by the amount of time you have in an industry, the number of degrees you have, or the number of accomplishments you have completed. It is earned by how your peers look at you, when they are deep in the weeds and need help being pulled out, a true leader will be there to pick them up, dust them off, and work along side them until they are back on their feet. Leadership is being compassionate, trustworthy, a listener, and a teacher.
