In my current position, I perform and coordinate research activities, development planning, implementation, reporting and liaison. I oversee and direct new product development and product improvement projects, and lead CFD and FEA simulations and analyses of new and existing mechanical seals and seal support systems to ensure design criteria and specifications are met. In addition, I develop and improve software for the design and analysis of mechanical seals. I provide technical and engineering consultation, design and product performance advice to team members, and work in close collaboration with clients to design seals for challenging applications; identifying client requirements and designing appropriate solutions. I also publish technical papers in recognised journals and present reports at technical and sales conferences.
