ABOUT JOEL MENDELSON

Joel Mendelson is licensed to practice Architecture in California. His career focus has been on single and multi-family residential, urban planning, complex mixed-use buildings, resort, institutional, and restaurant work. Joel has recently started work as a Development Manager for Ellis Partners, in San Francisco. In New York, Joel practiced with Robert A.M. Stern Architects, where he was a Senior Associate, and provided design and team leadership on a wide range of Master Planning and Architectural project efforts. In San Francisco and New York, Joel has practiced with Bevan Associates - as a Residential Project Architect; with Hart Howerton - in Resort design; and with SB Architects - where he served as the Senior Design Architect for a major mixed-use project along the Mediterranean in North Beirut. Joel holds a Masters Degree in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelors Degree from Oberlin College, with a major concentration in Art HIstory and Studio Art. Joel attended Columbia University\'s Shape of Two Cities program, in New York and Paris. In October 2012, Joel was fortunate to serve as the team leader for an AIA R/UDAT held for Seabrook Island, SC, near Charleston. When he\'s not designing, he\'s running, swimming, painting or cooking (and designing bagel shops.)
