ABOUT JOEL FLAKE

Joel is a longtime attorney, veteran entrepreneur, experienced real estate investor, and knowledgeable adviser specializing in recurring revenue businesses. Joel has also served as President of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (Idaho Chapter), and is a thought-leader and speaker on entrepreneurship, subscription/membership models, and pricing. After earning his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Michigan Law School, Joel secured a two-year appointment to serve as federal clerk to the Hon. Larry M. Boyle, of the U.S. District Court of Idaho. Following his engagement at the law firm of Moffatt Thomas, Joel left private practice and founded several home service companies including: Gemtek Pest Control (Idaho), Midwest Pest Control (Arkansas and Missouri), Home Guard Pest Control (Nevada), Six Brothers Pest Control (South Carolina), Pest Ventures LLC (Utah), Custom Bedbug (Washington/Oregon), and Gemtek Homekeeping (Idaho). All companies were eventually acquired at multiples exceeding historical industry standards. Subsequent to the acquisition of his home service companies, Joel now helps businesses improve profitability through implementation of enhanced pricing and recurring revenue models. Today, Joel continues to reside in Idaho with his wife and children, where he remains active in the business community as an entrepreneur, angel investor, adviser, and board member.
