Over my career I’ve worked tirelessly honing skills fundamental to great design. These include: graphic design, typography, print production, presentation design, experience design, information design, branding, color theory, animation, audio design, audio editing, digital asset creation, illustration, photography, photo editing, proofreading, prototyping, storytelling, and systems thinking. My belief is that Good Design both addresses, and transcends, aesthetics. At its most formidable, design is a marriage of art and science whose power daily solves the problems of branding, marketing, and communication with ease. However, its real value, often unseen, shamefully untapped, is design’s power to solve problems on a much, much larger scale. Design is essentially problem-solving at it’s most effective and collaborative. The awareness of its value grows, with good reason. It may yet save our world.    Understand the purpose of the project and its objectives. Determine how your collaboration can add insight, solutions, and value. Partner with Senior Designers and Art Directors to execute vision.Consistently and cohesively apply design systems across all applications.Assist Project Managers to source vendors and track deliverables produced outside the studio. Pose inspirational design solutions/possibilities to the team through the lens of production.Voice concerns when production scopes inflate or deadlines seem unrealistic. Construct final files and mechanicals for delivery or production. Maintain and manage inventory of tools, materials, and any items needed for construction.Attend press checks to assure quality and look for last min corrections.Deliver presentations that closely approximate the design standards expected of programs like InDesign, Presentation content must be designed and legible for meetings of the scale at which they are presented which can range from small board rooms to massive sports complexes.Print and construct large walls of seamless graphics, often with a novel construction feature that complicates execution but adds to the experience.Produce video and audio for use in exhibition experiences.Though fidelity may range from lo-fi to high brow, regardless of production value, medium, or budget, we always design and deliver artifacts or events that are as immersive and fun as they are smartly engineered.
