Having directed the full development lifecycle - from design and prototyping through testing and validation onto launch and support - I excel in mentoring and inspiring talented professionals to deliver products that meet and exceed all user expectations. Throughout my career, I have worked directly with high-impact technologies in the aerospace and medical industries, applying my ingenuity and inquisitive nature to find out how things work and how I can improve them. While working in these two major industries, I have gained the ability to be flexible and learn quickly while maintaining a sense of urgency and commitment to product excellence in high-stakes situations.Having directly developed and facilitated some of the most complex and innovative technologies on the market, I am named on 10 US Patents for expandable fusion devices and instruments, intervertebral spinal implants, devices and systems for surgical retraction, and devices/methods for vertebral fixation insertion. I am proud to have worked on more than 20 product launches for Globus Medical, including game-changing offerings in spine and trauma care that have improved the lives and care of tens of thousands of patients. In addition to product-based work, my time in upper management is of great benefit to a company as a whole, as I can facilitate communication between many departments, prioritize and manage resources, and forecast overall market trends. Additionally, I enjoy mentoring, coaching, and developing team members in product development, engineering, and management.

1. Director of Product Development - Trauma

   In 2020, I was promoted to lead and grow a team of 20+ cross-functional professionals committed to developing and launching first- and second-generation products that optimize the treatment of trauma patients in hospital and emergency room environments. In this role, I define strategic vision, standards, and performance benchmarks for the design, development, and manufacturing of quality products. To date, my teams have brought 10 first/second-generation products to market with 6 more in development. Additionally, my team worked on the integration and transfer of acquired NuVasive Limb Lengthening products in collaboration with the management team.Under my leadership, we improved manufacturability and cut waste to enhance cost margins while driving adoption of process improvements. Additionally, I fostered collaboration and cooperation between Spine and Trauma departments, working to promote cross-training and divisional mentorships to improve engineering output and quality companywide.
