WORK HISTORY
Group Head of Data and Analytics @Biffa
High Wycombe, GB
Authored and executed a multi-year Data & Analytics strategy, fully transitioning the business to a Hub & Spoke model and establishing the first dedicated Data Governance function. Drove a 36-fold increase in data use measured by increased daily users of Power BI.Led the analytics workstream for a £44m multi-system digital transformation programme delivering new Dynamics D365 ERP, HR, Fleet, and Health & Safety systems. This involved leading teams to seamlessly integrate data into new and existing analytics products for both hourly and daily insights as well as long-term trend analysis.Scaled the Data & Analytics function to a team of 17 (including 2 BI Managers) and successfully decommissioned legacy MicroStrategy systems in favour of an enterprise-scale Microsoft Fabric environment. I am Product owner and oversee the technical administration of 6 Fabric capacities (up to F256) with an extensive Power BI reporting and engineering estate.Through the hub and spoke implementation, data governance and Fabric architecture initiatives, I have led the modernisation of our analytical capabilities, enabling and empowering central and business insight teams to develop proprietary data products using Fabric Lakehouses, Python and SQL within a governed, high-performance ecosystem.
