About Joe Glover

An experienced and proven higher education administrator, Glover has worked in several positions within the University. Glover is currently serving as Vice Chancellor of University Relations.Vice Chancellor Glover is the chief university relations officer for IU Southeast. He develops policies and procedures and establishes long-range plans to direct the campus’ philanthropic, alumni, and community engagement efforts. He oversees The IU Southeast Office of Alumni Relations, Office of Development, and campus special events and projects. A Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), Vice Chancellor Glover graduated with distinction from IU Southeast with a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing. Glover also earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the IU Southeast School of Business. Glover also earned his Certificate in Fund Raising Management (CFRM) from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at IU Indianapolis. Vice Chancellor Glover has held several management positions at IU Southeast over his 20-year career. He is a lifetime member of the IU Alumni Association and is an involved member of the Southern Indiana community where he serves on several volunteer committees and non-profit boards.Glover previously served as Director of Athletics at IU Southeast for 11 years. Glover was recognized for his efforts by his colleagues when he was named River States Conference Athletic Director of the Year 2013 and 2018. In May 2013, Glover was also named one of “20 Under 40 Best and Brightest” business professionals in a special edition of the Southern Indiana Business Source magazine. In 2017, Glover was named one the “Top 20 People to Know is Sports Business” by Louisville’s Business First Magazine.Glover is an involved member of the Southern Indiana community as well. He serves on several volunteer committees for the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana (CFSI). He also serves as secretary for the Floyd Memorial Foundation. He is also an involved member of the Knights of Columbus as a third-degree Knight.Glover is also a member of the Rotary Club of New Albany where he is currently serving as the club’s President. Glover is also a member of the New Albany High School Alumni Memorial Fund Board of Directors.Glover and his wife, Melissa, who Joe met while they attended classes on the IU Southeast campus, live in Southern Indiana with their daughters, Annabelle (9) and Hadley (5). The family are members of Holy Family Catholic Church. Joe is a lifetime member of the IU Alumni Association.

   Vice Chancellor Glover is the chief advancement officer for IU Southeast. He develops policies and procedures and establishes long-range plans to direct the campus’ philanthropic, alumni, and community engagement efforts. The IU Southeast Office of University Relations supports the institution’s teaching, research and public service missions by forging partnerships with corporate and civic organizations, developing quality relationships within our region that enhance the institution’s reputation and maintaining positive relationships with the university’s alumni.The office works closely with campus and external stakeholders to achieve institutional goals. The office also develops policies and procedures and establishes long-range plans to direct the campus’s philanthropic and community-building efforts. It oversees the following functional areas: alumni engagement, business partnerships and sponsorships, corporate and foundation relations, community engagement, campus events and ceremonies, development and advancement, government and economic engagement, and marketing and communications.
