About Joe Dykstra

I serve as the President of Sterling Logistics Properties (SLP), where I’m responsible for executing our investment strategy and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Sterling Consumer Logistics Properties series of Funds. I also sit on the Investment Committee, helping to guide strategic decisions for the Fund.Before joining Sterling, I spent nearly 30 years at Westwood Financial LLC, where I held several leadership roles. In 2016, I was named Co-CEO following a major company reorganization that unified our management company and multiple property partnerships into a single, self-managed REIT. As Co-CEO, I led the institutionalization of our operating platform and was responsible for implementing our investment strategies and optimizing our property portfolio. Prior to that, I oversaw our capital markets efforts and led the company’s expansion from a West Coast presence to a national platform. I was a member of the Executive Committee and chaired the Investment Committee.I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management from Western Illinois University and am a longtime member of both the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Urban Land Institute.
