Experienced senior software developer with a background in Rust, Java, Javascript/Typescript, Python, SQL, and more. My specialty in recent years has been enterprise-scale Java systems, maintaining and fortifying legacy systems as well as (re)engineering new systems in modern frameworks and architectures (e.g. Spring Boot and Angular). During my 12 years in academia, I taught and researched information systems, computer science, data analytics, and statistics. In my spare time I have been a volunteer firefighter, a robotics team mentor, a beekeeper, and a scouting leader. I live in the western mountains of Maine.
