I have a background in mechanical and mechatronics design with 10 years of hands-on experience and proven track record in hardware development.+ Experience as technical lead on full humanoid platform mechanical designs; from concept design to critical design gates, and through production. Handling kinematics, structural, joint performance design and packaging.+ Experience designing mechanisms from scratch with various forms of actuation, such as direct drive, series elastic actuators, harmonic, ball screw linear, cycloidal & planetary reduction, bldc motors etc+ Experience designing and building functional prototypes of mechatronic systems incorporating compute, sensing, and actuation, from selecting drivers to onboard computational platforms+ Experience designing anthropomorphic robotic systems, including 7 DOF arms, 6 DOF bipedal legs, 12 DOF hands etc.+ Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to develop conops, requirements, design, build, assemble, develop DOE and test prototypes+ Familiar with simulation, analysis, urdf generation, and modeling tools (Onshape, Solidworks, Matlab, Gazebo, Jupyter notebook/labs etc.)+ Leading, Managing, and working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and integrate hardware systems + The ability for independent precise detail design work as well as high level system understanding+ Prototyping proof of concepts - Ownership of mechanical and mechatronics designs - Schematic creation and layout responsibility - Bring up and debug - Hardware validation Education & Experience
