ABOUT JOE WINTERS

With experience in market analysis, finance, brokerage, and development, as well as degrees in architecture, business, and city planning, I bring a well-rounded and unique perspective of the built environment to the real estate industry. At B&D, I utilize my background and experience to advise higher education institutions, municipalities, and private-sector clients through all phases of the development process for quality-of-life facilities, including athletic venues, student housing, and mixed-use retail projects. In particular, I work with owners during the planning phase to determine market feasibility, create architectural programs, and establish project budgets and schedules. As a project transitions from planning to implementation, I take on the role of owner’s representative by managing the client’s responsibilities through procurement, design oversight, construction management, and project close-out. My objective throughout the development process is to help clients maximize the value of their investments by delivering projects in a fashion that positions them to achieve their organizational goals and strategic objectives.Prior to joining B&D, I supported the deployment and management of a $100 million private equity fund, which was established to target urban commercial real estate projects across the Southeast region of the United States. Skills: Adept at modeling complex real estate development and investment deals, with various layers of equity, both public and private. I have been trained to utilize Argus Developer, Argus Valuation DCF, GIS, MS Project, and the rest of the MS Office Suite. I am also proficient in numerous graphic programs, including AutoCAD, Google SketchUp, and the Adobe Suite.
