ABOUT JOE RISK
A highly experienced programme management professional who has delivered high-value, major business, IT & digital change in complex stakeholder environments across several large public sector departments. At HMRC as programme manager, I was responsible for 90+ staff across 3 offices, building, developing and maintaining online security across over 60 HMRC online services. Previously at the Ministry of Justice, I led major change programmes of up to £60m, impacting people, reporting to Director General level and involving complex IT deployments like a large scale Oracle ERP solution to end users. I have held budget and resource responsibility overseeing large project teams ensuring programmes were delivered on time and to budget. In operational roles I managed 140 staff as Court Manager of the largest standalone Family Court in the country 30 Judges. With extensive stakeholder management experience, I am comfortable in complex environments involving senior executives, ministerial and judicial offices, judges, directors general and external bodies like the Law Society. I am a strong communicator capable of delivering complex messages in simple form to key stakeholders. Additionally, I believe strongly in motivating my teams to achieve their goals and be successful which contributes to the overall success of programmes. In each of my programme roles, I have seen the delivery through to benefits realisation.
