Ensure technology systems and services deliver fit for purpose data from external partners to internal systems for research and systematic trading processes. This includes responsibility over all legacy data ingestion and transformation systems as well as the design and development of Bridgewater’s next generation platform. The responsibility is multi-disciplinary and requires an understanding of software architecture, data engineering standards, and operational excellence to deliver timely and quality data for mission-critical systems. Responsibilities include- Build understanding of data needs of internal stakeholders and craft a technology and service-based solution to deliver against those needs- Ensure delivery of high-quality financial analysis and data to senior researchers- Engage with key stakeholders to understand business needs and tailor solutions to meet those needs- Ensure a continuous flow of quality content and analytics for use in financial research and trading systems- Set data governance principles and standards to ensure quality of data and efficiency in its delivery- Oversee offshore development team of 150+ software engineers, DevOps, data engineers, and data operations professionals responsible for building out the next generation data ingestion platform and delivering mission critical data services. Platform is currently live with additional functionality and new data sources integrated under my supervision- Onboard and integrate critical data sources for systematic trading processes. Work with external vendors to ensure we are leveraging most current integration patterns- Perform data transformation and validation steps in order to abstract much of the data complexity associated with raw financial data away from our researchers and other data consumers- Build offshore data and technology operations team to meet business-critical data delivery SLAs. This includes data and technology operations.
