ABOUT JOE PERAINO
Joe has over twenty five years experience in the design world, leading both large scale and community- sensitive projects, as Director of Architecture at MKThink.Throughout his career, he has served as lead designer and manager for a number of important city planning and revitalization projects; Most recently, he led the Pueblo at San Isidro in Santa Fe, NM and 3rd and Fairfax in Los Angeles, Ca. Also at rdc. he led the firm wide research program - Project Rebirth: What Do We Do With Dead Malls? As design director with Perez, he lead the revitalization of the Moonwalk Promenade, and the design competition winner with NYCHPD for 108 mixed income housing units in Harlem. Joe’s work has been published in Architecture, The New York Times, Newsweek, Time, The Washington Post, Interior Design, and Architectural Record.Along with his design expertise, Joe spent almost a decade with Wisznia Architecture and Development, a leading New Orleans design and real estate development firm. Finally, Joe was a Co-Founder and Partner of Flavor League, a multi-disciplinary design firm. Its first product line, Flavor Paper: Tasty Hand-Screened Wallcoverings, garnered worldwide press and acclaim.
