About Joe McKinney
There’s nothing like getting a job offer, so I was excited to start my career in recruiting with an international staffing agency after graduating from Central Michigan University. I received world-class training and built a strong foundation filling technical roles like Android developers, software engineers, project managers, UX designers, and systems engineers.That experience sparked a passion for in-house talent acquisition, where I could take a more strategic approach to hiring. That shift started when I joined a global supplier of automotive components, where I recruited for everything from maintenance and automation technicians to financial controllers and engineers.This path ultimately led me to my current role as a Talent Acquisition Specialist at PAR Systems, a company that’s been behind the scenes of some of the world’s most ambitious projects for more than 60 years. From automating life-saving medical device production to safely dismantling Chernobyl, supporting deep space missions, and advancing aerospace manufacturing through adaptive automation, PAR helps bring complex innovations to life.At PAR, I recruit for a wide range of roles, from our incoming class of interns for 2025 to early-career engineers and full-time positions like controls engineers, mechanical engineers, project managers, technicians, and support functions. You might even find me supporting recruiting efforts at our subsidiary, Jered, in Brunswick, GA, whose marine systems have been featured on every U.S. Navy surface combatant class ship since World War II.
