In my current role, I lead the bid writing process for public council tenders, focusing on the procurement and processing of Dry Mixed Recycling (DMR) materials into Biffa\'s MRF estate. I also manage the day to day running of various local authority contracts into our MRF estate.My responsibilities include:Contracts Management: Overseeing the entire lifecycle of contracts, from negotiation to execution, ensuring compliance and maximizing value for both Biffa and our public council partners.Strategic Bid Writing: Developing and submitting comprehensive bids for public council tenders, targeting the efficient processing of Dry Mixed Recycling (DMR) materials across our advanced MRF & PRF facilities.Contract Management and Oversight: Overseeing the entire lifecycle of contracts, from negotiation to execution, ensuring compliance and maximizing value for both Biffa and our public council partners. Also managing the full spectrum of contract activities, ensuring alignment with Biffa’s strategic goals and compliance with environmental standards.Project Leadership: Directing various small-scale projects in collaboration with councils, aimed at implementing innovative waste reduction schemes that contribute to Biffa’s vision of a greener future.Operational Excellence: Continuously seeking ways to enhance operational processes, reduce costs, and improve the environmental impact of waste management practices.
