Leading on all aspects of people management and staff wellbeing across the organisation, overseeing HR strategy, policy and training on matters relating to both the staff and volunteer teams at Carlisle Cathedral. Strategic Leadership• Lead the HR function with a proactive, strategic approach aligned to the Cathedral’s values and goals.• Provide professional advice to the COO and other leaders on people management, staff wellbeing, policy, and organisational design.• Drive continuous improvement in HR systems, processes, and culture.• Oversee safeguarding processes and training (in partnership with key internal stakeholders).• Ensure compliance with GDPR and data protection legislation for all people-related records and activities.• Champion initiatives that support staff and volunteer wellbeing.• Promote a culture of support, respect, equity, and continuous learning.• Oversee internal people communications and engagement initiatives.
